Melancholy
-Jesuena Jae E. Reimer-
Water falls; water drips
from the eyes of a soul unfilled with light
She wears jeans full of rips
And possesses sorrow that is hard to fight
She lives in a milieu of prejudice
Which hinders what she wants to be
Happiness is not abundant - just a bliss
She wishes; she hopes; she just wants to be free
What she is inside is beautiful but she does not want
to share
She's terrified; she hides; she thinks it's never fair
Society expects that everyone accept the trend
But she believes in something more and wants this
belittlement to end
So she stands up, wipes her tears and then she starts
to speak
She proliferates bravery, it became harder to keep
And when the words come out of her lonely soul
She sees herself finally living a life not even the
society can control
